The crotch mahogany figuring on those drawer fronts and cabinet panels is spectacular—someone paid dearly for this wood in 1870. Two drawers up top with original brass drop pulls and escutcheons, two cabinet doors below with working locks (no keys). Shows honest age: surface scratches, some veneer lifting at edges, finish wear. But the bones? Impeccable.

The D'Beetle Difference • That Marble Top Though: Original Breche Violette marble with dramatic white fossil fragments in black matrix. Measures 51" wide x 27" deep with ogee-bullnose edge profile—try finding that stone today.

• Flame Mahogany Veneer Throughout: Book-matched crotch mahogany on drawer fronts and raised panels shows the feathered, flame-like figuring that Victorian cabinetmakers prized. Secondary wood appears to be solid mahogany.

• Proper English Proportions: Stands 37" tall x 51" wide x 27" deep with 15" kneehole clearance between pedestals. Counter height works as a bar, buffet, or dramatic hall console.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0733/7282/7837/files/Photoroom_20261016_121416_85b896ea-e813-42a4-b8d3-c0c61fc019c7.jpg?v=1792599745
https://dbeetles.com/products/19th-century-english-pedestal-sideboard-with-breche-violette-marble-top-flame-m
