Hellman-Chang Z-Side Table #3411 in Walnut (Oversized 30") — Brooklyn Studio Craft

Annihilate the landfill, rescue a signed Brooklyn original from an uncertain fate

This is the real deal: a Hellman-Chang Z-Side Table, numbered #3411, signed by the makers, and built in their Brooklyn workshop from solid walnut. This particular piece features an expansive, oversized 30" footprint, giving the signature cantilevered form an even bolder architectural presence. It’s contemporary studio furniture at its best — geometry that defies gravity while serving as a substantial statement piece. The dark-stained walnut shows surface scratches and light wear across the top consistent with honest use. Structurally sound, just needs some love (or a strategically placed book).

The D'Beetle Difference

• Signed and Numbered Brooklyn Craft: Metal maker's plaque reads 'Hellman-Chang, Made in Brooklyn, No. 3411' with original signature. This isn't mass production — it's traceable, early-era studio furniture.

• Solid Walnut Construction: Built from solid American walnut with a dark espresso finish. The massive Z-form requires master-level joinery to maintain structural integrity under load.

• Premium Oversized Profile: Measures 30" W/L by 24" H. The expansive top surface offers much more versatility than the standard size, making it perfect as a commanding end table flanking a deep luxury sofa or a standalone cocktail statement piece.
