Duncan Phyfe Style Lyre-Back Side Chair in Mahogany with Flame Stitch Seat

$125.00

Annihilate the landfill, because your desk deserves a chair with actual gravitas

A proper lyre-back side chair in the Duncan Phyfe tradition, likely mid-20th century American reproduction of early 19th century Federal style. Solid mahogany frame with that gorgeous warm finish, elegant saber legs, and a centered lyre splat with brass rod strings. The flame stitch upholstery screams 1980s-90s update—clean and intact, though you could easily swap it for something more your speed. Frame is tight with no wobble. Minor finish wear consistent with age, but nothing that diminishes the chair's essential dignity.

The D'Beetle Difference

• Classic Lyre Splat Design: Carved mahogany lyre with scrolled volutes and brass rod 'strings'—the hallmark detail of Federal-era elegance that Duncan Phyfe made famous.

• Solid Mahogany Construction: Real hardwood frame, not veneer over particleboard. Graceful saber legs with channeled edges. Seat height approximately 18 inches.

• Clean Flame Stitch Upholstery: Drop-in seat with woven bargello-style fabric in muted coral, sage, lavender, and cream. No stains or tears—use as-is or reupholster to taste.
