Federal Cherry Pembroke Table – CT River Valley, ca. 1800–1810 – Scalloped Leaves + Drawer

$695.00

Annihilate the landfill, one Federal‑era side table at a time.

This early 1800s CT River Valley Pembroke table brings graceful Federal lines in warm solid cherry: sculpted scalloped drop leaves, a dovetailed drawer, and slender molded tapered legs. It’s the perfect multi‑tool for a Cambridge apartment—use it as a side table, writing desk, entry console, or a small dining spot when the leaves are up and friends appear.

The D’Beetle Difference
• Real CT River Valley Federal: Early 19th‑century cherry Pembroke with the details collectors watch for—single working dovetailed drawer, shaped apron, scalloped leaves, and molded tapered legs that echo documented New England examples on dealer and auction sites. Sun fading on one side and scattered surface wear tell the story of two centuries near a window, but the table is sound and ready for daily use.

• Scalloped Leaf Flexibility: Closed, it’s a slim 19 in‑deep console; with both leaves up it opens to about 35 in, giving you a jewel‑box little dining or laptop station without eating the room—very similar in footprint to other antique cherry Pembroke tables that are marketed as “breakfast” or “lamp” tables. The shaped leaves soften the profile and make it read more like sculpture than simple furniture.

• Storage + Patina: The dovetailed drawer is ideal for keys, remotes, chargers, or stationery, adding actual function to the pretty Federal silhouette. Finish shows age—color variation, scratches, and that faded panel—but the cherry has developed a rich, mellow glow you simply can’t order online.
