IKEA Alex-Style Modern Writing Desk in Slate Blue with Two Drawers

Annihilate the landfill, score a sleek WFH setup without the flat-pack trauma

A clean-lined contemporary writing desk in a sophisticated slate blue-gray finish that's decidedly more grown-up than your average big-box fare. Powder-coated steel frame with engineered wood top and two roomy drawers featuring integrated cutout pulls—no fussy hardware to snag your sweater. The flip-up compartment at the back corrals cables or hides clutter. Honest wear: surface scratches throughout read as 'actually used by a human' rather than 'left in a dorm hallway.' Structurally solid, drawers glide smoothly.

The D'Beetle Difference

• Right-Sized for Cambridge Spaces: At approximately 39"W x 20"D, this desk fits tight corners and studio apartments without dominating the room. Legroom is generous with the open frame design.

• Hidden Cable Management: That routed slot in the top flips open for power strips and cord chaos. Modern problems, modern solutions—your Zoom background stays clean.

• Mixed Material Construction: Steel frame with H-stretcher base provides stability while keeping visual weight low. Engineered wood top and drawer fronts in matching matte finish.
