Vintage Large-Format Mid-Century Asian Figural Painting — Framed, Signed, Gold Frame

Annihilate the landfill, one wall at a time.

This large-format mid-century painting stops a room cold: seven kimono-clad figures rendered in a misty, impressionistic palette of dusty blue, sage, and blush move across the canvas like figures glimpsed through morning fog, all set within a gilt frame and cream linen mat liner that give it serious gallery presence. The work is signed in the lower right corner, dates stylistically to the 1960s–1970s Asian-figural decorative tradition, and carries the kind of soft, contemplative mood that pairs effortlessly with mid-century modern, eclectic, or minimalist interiors.  There is some surface texture and minor age-related wear consistent with the era, but the image reads beautifully from across the room and has lost none of its impact.

The D’Beetle Difference

• Statement Wall Art, Real Scale: The framed piece measures approximately 48 in wide and 24 in tall — large enough to anchor a sofa wall, a bedroom, or a wide hallway without needing anything else around it.

• Mid-Century Mood, Universally Livable: The muted blue-green palette and gestural figural style hit the sweet spot between fine-art energy and livable decoration — it works in a Cambridge living room, a studio apartment, or a dining room equally well.

• Gilt Frame + Linen Mat Liner: The carved gilt frame and tone-on-tone linen mat liner are in good vintage condition and frame the painting exactly as intended — this is a ready-to-hang, no-project-needed piece.
