Burke Tulip Arm Chair White Fiberglass Shell Orange Cushion 1960s Space Age

$500.00

Annihilate the landfill, beam yourself into a mid-century kitchen nook

This is the Burke tulip arm chair — the more attainable American cousin of Saarinen's pedestal dream, manufactured in Dallas through the 1960s and '70s. White molded fiberglass shell on that distinctive propeller base, still wearing its original burnt orange vinyl cushion. Shell is in remarkably clean condition with minor scuffs. The cushion, however, is showing its age: foam is compressing and the vinyl has separated at one edge. Perfect candidate for reupholstery, or embrace the patina and call it authentic.

The D'Beetle Difference • That Iconic Propeller Base: Cast aluminum four-star base in original white finish. Shows expected wear at feet but structurally solid — no wobble, no cracks.

• Generous Proportions: Arm height sits comfortably for dining or desk use.

• Fiberglass Shell Integrity: No cracks, chips, or structural damage to the molded shell. Surface has minor scratches consistent with age but cleans up beautifully.
