Two tall Hemnes bookcases in IKEA's discontinued birch veneer finish — the good one, before they went full particleboard. These are the 31" wide, nearly 8-foot-tall versions with six adjustable shelves each. Solid pine frames with birch veneer panels give these actual heft and durability. Showing honest use: minor scuffs on shelf edges, a few small dings, and the usual wall-anchor holes in back. Nothing structural, just evidence of a life well-read.
