Lane Furniture of Altavista, Virginia built this two-tier step table when Eisenhower was still in office and it's still standing. Style No. 1041-07 features walnut-grain laminate surfaces over solid wood construction with that signature biomorphic cutout between levels. The brass-tone tapered legs with stretcher base scream 1958 in the best way. Surfaces are clean with good grain pattern; one leg shows paint loss at the base. Structurally solid, cosmetically honest.
