Remington Standard No. 12 Typewriter with Boston Dealer Provenance c.1920s

$145.00

Annihilate the landfill, adopt a machine that typed Harvard dissertations before your grandparents were born

This is a tank. A Remington Standard No. 12, the workhorse of Jazz Age offices, built when "planned obsolescence" wasn't yet a phrase. All-steel construction, glass-topped keys with nickel rings. Bears a dealer sticker from New England Adding Machine Co. on Federal Street, Boston — local provenance for the history nerds. Condition is honest: heavy surface rust on the mechanism, dried ribbon, paint loss on the frame. Decorative or restoration project, not ready to write your novel.

The D'Beetle Difference

• Boston Business District Heritage: Original dealer service sticker from New England Adding Machine Co. at Federal Street, Boston. A piece of local commercial history that stayed in Greater Boston for a century.

• Classic Glass-Top Keys Intact: All original glass-topped keys present with nickel bezels and green/cream lettering. Red function keys add visual pop. The keyboard alone is worth saving.

• Built Like Industrial Furniture: Approximately 14" wide carriage, full cast-iron frame beneath steel body panels. This machine weighs about 25 pounds — they don't make anything like this anymore.

Measurements: See tape-measure photos for exact dimensions.
